On a wall

I’M STILL HERE.
This abstract piece maps out the constant mental and physical pain I navigate every single day. The heavy, chaotic background strokes represent a head that is entirely full—packed with anxiety, depression, and trauma to the point where I literally cannot take anymore. The grid patterns on the outside edges represent how I am still caged in my own mind, though the openings allow me to see the world through different eyes sometimes.
To survive, I dissociate and block out the bad. That is where the vibrant pink flower and the frog come in. While I often wear humor as a protective outer shell in daily life, the surreal elements in this piece aren't a joke—they are a raw channel meant to evoke deep emotion. Like this unblinking frog holding tightly onto the flower, I am a loner stuck right in the middle of a turbulent storm, using a bit of absurdity to stay grounded. It is a visual reminder that no matter how heavy the layers get, the trauma hasn't erased me.
